One of the largest foundations in the world, working almost exclusively in Africa, it was created in 2006 by Mastercard International and operates independently under the governance of its own Board of Directors.






Mastercard Foundation Works With Partners to Combat COVID-19

With COVID-19 spreading across Africa,  the Mastercard Foundation has launched an aggressive initiative to support communities, with a focus on young people. In an interview with AllAfrica's Amadou Mahtar Ba, Daniel Hailu outlines what Mastercard Foundation is doing to respond to the pandemic.
