AllAfrica is the only truly panAfrican news organization. We’ve survived because you rely on it. News organizations, including this one, are struggling with changing economic models – choosing to charge for information or doing less reporting as ad revenues flow primarily to two major companies.

But we’re not just hanging on! Although our reach and reputation far exceed our resources, we’re working with our 130 African media partners and hundreds of African civil society and community organizations to help Africa advance. And we’re depending on your donation to do it.

AllAfrica: Building the Africa We Want

In response to requests by change-makers across Africa, AllAfrica is producing stories and voices of people who are leading a movement for social progress and providing a platform to make the connections and information they need to succeed.

Africa has three-quarters of the world’s poorest countries – as well as spectacularly successful initiatives that can lead and teach the world. Emerging leaders across the continent are reducing maternal and child mortality, attacking malaria and other killers, pioneering agricultural schemes to eliminate hunger and malnutrition, developing new methodologies to combat and adapt to climate change, and using art and music to mobilize communities and to hold decision makers accountable.

We connect these researchers, activists, entrepreneurs and experts to each other and to the world. A multi-media sharing of compelling narratives, challenges, inspiration and achievements on issues that cross national and regional boundaries, this cooperative work, led by African innovators, serves all those working for transformative change. They – and you, our audience – will be the beneficiaries.

There is nothing like it. Our media colleagues and local organizations count on us, and we, in turn, count on you.
